Our Farm
Kerrib Farm is located outside Pomeroy, County Tyrone and thanks to its countryside location, the farm is a peaceful haven for wildlife, with an abundance of small birds like robins, blue tits and goldfinches as well as buzzards, peregrine falcons and red kites. The fields are also home to a warren of rabbits and elusive small mammals including pine martens and hedgehogs. While here you can rise with the larks to witness spectacular sunrises and on cloudless days watch out for colourful sunsets. The whole area also has minimal light pollution, so stargazing is a magical experience on clear nights – all this and yet you’re only around 10 minutes’ drive from shopping and dining options in Pomeroy, Donaghmore and Dungannon.
Animals on The Farm
Pygmy Goats
We currently have 2 Pygmy goats , Mary and Aoife (Mother and Daughter) Pygmy goats are a popular breed of domestic goats known for their small size and friendly personalities. The goats are easy to care for and make great companions for both adults and children. They love carrots and apple slices.
Chickens
We have 6 Isa Brown Chickens. Isa Brown chickens are a popular breed among chicken keepers. They are known for their friendly personalities, high egg production, and ease of care. Whether you're a seasoned chicken keeper or just starting out, Isa Browns are a great choice for your flock.
Friesian Cows
These are here during the spring and summer months and are rotated with between here and fields in Carrickmore. Friesian are dairy cattle known for their high milk production and black and white markings. Originally from the Netherlands, they are known for their docile temperament and adaptability to a variety of climates.
Our Dogs
We have 3 dogs on the farm. They are all different, can be loud when excited by seeing new people but are just saying hello and love a scratch. They are all house dogs, not left out to run around unsupervised and generally kept away from guests. We have Harley (Saluki / Collie) Malakie (Collie) and Jango (Patterdale)
